Each of the 2 mirrored circuits contained within are cauldrons of spellbound feedback and echo conjured up in the candle lit corners of my workshop. Conjoining them crossed dimensional laws and has summoned forth PAZUZU. Please, allow them to possess.
CV input control over all 10 knob functions, including volume(s), are available as an option at checkout.
A line level audio input option is also available for the (R) channel. Much like the Legions.
Okay, bear with me here. Pazuzu is 4 controls from my Legion Sr. device multiplied by 2. One being fed into the other internally. So, if you are familiar with that device, understanding should be fairly easy math. If not, well, I'll try to explain.
- The Left side (L) feeds directly into the Right (R) and has a volume control to impact how much of L is sent to R. Whenever any signal is happening on L and the volume knob allows it to go to R, R will affect L on the way out. L is never 100% "clean". Even with nothing visibly engaged on R.
- R is not dependent on L. The Right side can be used on its own as its own separate instrument, clean from L, if you so desire. On its own, R is effectively the Legion Sr. with 4 controls. R has a master volume control. When L is allowed to pass to R you start to get layers, combination possibilities and depth that could chill a room or drive you mad. In a good way.
- There's quite a bit of set it and forget it type sound possibility with this. Some settings will even slowly morph in and out and around on their own. Which is super nice. Eh hem, I mean evil. There is also, and more so, a lot of flowing, controllable movement and perform-ability. Haunting atmospheres, screaming harshnesses, throbbing percusionesque rhythms and all sorts of otherworldly secrets.

“The Herzlich Man Machine Interface - a beloved instrument, yes, but I know what you thought all throughout: what if there was even more of it? I pondered the idea over a game of chess, was it truly possible to create an MMI with more than one dimension? An MMI arranged in a manner of... matrix?
After spending hours drawing intricate doodles on the back of a napkin, I discovered that, yes, such a thing was indeed possible - I called the factory at once, and demanded that production take place immediately. Thus, the MMI Matrix was born!
With operation identical to it's little brother, the MMI Matrix allows the user to patch inputs to outputs by connecting zig-zagged patterns together with fingers, fruits, cables, pizza slices or any other conductive source. The labyrinth patterns will immediately connect the zig-zags immediately adjacent, whether above and below, or on each side. Furthermore, the two labyrinths within labyrinths will connect ALL adjacent inputs and outputs, which may lead to beautiful disasters or otherworldly insights.
As with its predecessor, the MMI Matrix is fully touch and pressure sensitive, reacting to the amount of pressure exerted, the amount of skin connecting, and the resistive quality of your body. Incredibly easy to perform with, the MMI Matrix offers new and far more advanced ways to patch your performances, whether CV, triggers or audio signals. Create reverb swells that vary between different types of reverb, use multiple fingers and labyrinth patterns to mix trigger signals into complex polyrhythms or create beautiful chords by combining various pitch inputs with a chord oscillator. The MMI Matrix also integrates very well with it's little brother, so there is absolutely no need to hold back!
Oh, and as always, it uses NO power! But it will take up 10hp of space in your system. A fair deal!”

“HPF? LPF? BPF? 10? 0hp? Yes! Introducing the new 1U/0hp hybrid format from Herzlich Labs, it's a brand new take on an age old idea.
Borrowing from the 1U format, this new line of 0hp (and of course also 1U) products seeks to improve upon the 0hp formula in several ways. The products are first of all fully enclosed, eliminating the risk of shorting exposed pins to something important, as well as offering a more pleasant device to hold. The format also allows for larger knobs to improve control and precision in use, and can flexibility be integrated in large or small setups, or even expanded into larger rows of units.
The Hyperoxia + Hypoxia combines the two popular 0hp passive filters from Herzlich Labs, and additionally replaces the Ligatura bandpass filter, by normaling the connections between the filters (indicated by the small golden "n"), meaning you can use them as either two independent filters, or one combined passive bandpass filter.”

“The Man-Machine Interface, or MMI, is a passive touch and pressure sensitive controller which allows the user to direct CV and audio signals at will. The MMI 1U consists of three input/output jacks, and five body contact surfaces in glorious gold and system agnostic 1U - fits both Intellijel and Pulp Logic 1U.
The zig-zag body contacts correspond to the input/output jacks, with the top zig-zag connecting to the top jack, the middle zig-zag connecting to the middle jack, and the lower zig-zag connecting to the lower jack. The spiral patterns in between the zig-zags are comprised of the two adjacent jacks, so the upper spiral is comprised of the upper and middle jack, while the lower spiral is comprised of the middle and lower jack.
In order to operate the MMI, the user can touch any two points with their fingers, patch cables, a piece of fruit or vegetable, or any other conductive substance or object, in order to complete the connection. The degree of contact made with the MMI, and the resistance of the object completing the circuit, will determine the output that is sent along the circuit. For instance, if a user were to patch a VCO into the top jack, and patch the MMI into a filter in the middle jack, the VCO will be sent to the filter when the topmost zig-zag and lower zig-zag are connected by two fingers, for instance.
But how about the spirals? The spirals offer a way to make a connection with one finger. Using the example from before, the connection will instantly complete when the user touches the upper spiral pattern. Using this principle, it becomes possible to use the MMI in unusual and interesting ways, such as a rudimentary keyboard, a drum controller, a switch and any other number of weird and exciting purposes.
It is also possible to combine several MMI - using two different MMI, it is possible to reach across one zig-zag to another zig-zag, in order to make a different connection, or to place a particularly long vegetable across all the contacts just to see what will happen. The MMI is an unusual patching system for the experimental musician, and lends itself well to all manner of experimentation and weird instruments.
The MMI can bleed a tiny bit of signal when using sharp VCO waves like square waves, while other sounds like sine waves will have softer responses. This can easily be corrected with amplification or attenuation as needed.
The MMI takes up 24HP and is skiff friendly, and is also suitable for installing in external boxes as a passive control unit. You can combine any number of MMI to create increasingly complex keyboard-like arrangements, drum pad matrixes or advanced switch systems.”

“Let's talk about filters - not your usual, souped up, CV controlled stereo-enabled monstrosity, but just regular old filters for EQ'ing and smaller filtering duties. That's this, right here - but in stereo, with a wide range and with a highly useful slide pot.
What's it useful for, you ask? Any task where you'd like to user a filter, but sacrificing an entire filter module might be overkill. Submixing and cutting out the highs of a signal, feedback, amplifying the lows in a bass drum, tone control - there are many reasons you would want a passive low pass filter. Two, even! Either one for your left and right input, or one for two different but linked mono inputs. Neat!
This filter is fully passive, only 2hp and skiff friendly with a very shallow installation depth. It's also particularly good looking in black and gold.”

Solist is not your average performance mixer and mute combination - far from it. Designed in collaboration with Bries, Solist contains four channels of soft vactrol muting, controlled by tactile and pleasantly clicky mechanical switches. Solist will help make your performances shine - but most importantly, the red solo switches allow you to override the current state of the mute switches, allowing for creative transitions between solo and mute states during your performance.
While the audio circuit is fully analog, it is also entirely isolated from the digital circuit that controls the mutes. Running on a fast and reliable Raspberry Pi RP2040, you get all the benefits of digital control without the downsides of digital audio processing. Best of all, the mechanical state of the switches determine the state of the module, so even if you power cycle, you will return to your previous state.
The analog mixer section can be used simultaneously with the individual outputs of the Solist, so for those who already have a mixer solution, the buffered individual outputs will bypass the mixer entirely. You may of course also use both simultaneously for exciting parallel processing opportunities.
Solist brings a whole new aspect of muting and soloing to your Eurorack performances, and with soft opening and closing vactrols, you'll never have to worry about clicks, truncated transients or actuation noise.

Two buttons and a switch to toggle between their functions. In one position one of the buttons acts as a momentary mute for the output jack, killing the output as long as it is depressed. In the alternative switch position the other button acts as a momentary ON. Only letting audio out of the jack as long as it is depressed.

Not only does this machine have variable speed, but several other unique qualities. Bear with me here. (Demo link below)
So, put your tape in on Side A, press play, modulate the speed. Simple, obvious, sure, but here's the scoop. Pressing the direction button will cause it to reverse the playback of Side A. Back and forth you go, but wait, there's more! Flipping the tiny switch on the bottom right (We'll call it the Flip Switch) will flip the playback side to Side B. So, say you have Side A playing forwards and you flip the Flip switch. Now it's playing in reverse on Side B. Hit that direction button and it plays forwards on Side B. In that state flipping the Flip Switch again will now have it playing in reverse on Side A. Press the direction button and we're back to where we started. It's a bit ridiculous to try to explain this way so just watch the demo.
In that demo, you will also see the CV version in action. I've added 3 CV inputs to this evil doer. 1 for speeding up, 1 for slowing down and one for volume. I’m using some LFO, envelope and gate outputs to control it. It can get pretty wild and if you are creative and intentional about what is recorded on each side, well, yeah. You can take over the world.
BONUS FEATURE!
This is also an MP3 converter and playback device. Any real time or recorded tweaking of the speed & direction functions go right into that conversion. Take a flash recording to your DAW, etc, OR play it back on the deck. When doing this, you can also engage an actual tape and layer the MP3 playback and the cassette playback. Each have their own volume even. I know, I know. Sounds like snake oil, but I assure, it all really works! PLEASE give the demo a watch. It is very thorough, probably overly so and asking me questions that are covered in the demo will likely have me referring you to the above text. I mean, ask away, I'm happy to help if there's still confusion.
*These also will come with the original manual, a short ass USB cable and some very sub-par headphones.
*Please note that these do not record to tape. There is no record button for the cassette element in other words. You’re on your own there. I've got other nutty modded decks that also record if you are feeling either needy and/or generous.

“The Man-Machine Interface, or MMI, is a passive touch and pressure sensitive controller which allows the user to direct CV and audio signals at will. The MMI consists of three input/output jacks, and five body contact surfaces in glorious gold.
The zig-zag body contacts correspond to the input/output jacks, with the top zig-zag connecting to the top jack, the middle zig-zag connecting to the middle jack, and the lower zig-zag connecting to the lower jack. The spiral patterns in between the zig-zags are comprised of the two adjacent jacks, so the upper spiral is comprised of the upper and middle jack, while the lower spiral is comprised of the middle and lower jack.
In order to operate the MMI, the user can touch any two points with their fingers, patch cables, a piece of fruit or vegetable, or any other conductive substance or object, in order to complete the connection. The degree of contact made with the MMI, and the resistance of the object completing the circuit, will determine the output that is sent along the circuit. For instance, if a user were to patch a VCO into the top jack, and patch the MMI into a filter in the middle jack, the VCO will be sent to the filter when the topmost zig-zag and lower zig-zag are connected by two fingers, for instance.
But how about the spirals? The spirals offer a way to make a connection with one finger. Using the example from before, the connection will instantly complete when the user touches the upper spiral pattern. Using this principle, it becomes possible to use the MMI in unusual and interesting ways, such as a rudimentary keyboard, a drum controller, a switch and any other number of weird and exciting purposes.
It is also possible to combine several MMI - using two different MMI, it is possible to reach across one zig-zag to another zig-zag, in order to make a different connection, or to place a particularly long vegetable across all the contacts just to see what will happen. The MMI is an unusual patching system for the experimental musician, and lends itself well to all manner of experimentation and weird instruments.
The MMI can bleed a tiny bit of signal when using sharp VCO waves like square waves, while other sounds like sine waves will have softer responses. This can easily be corrected with amplification or attenuation as needed.
The MMI takes up 4HP and is skiff friendly, and is also suitable for installing in external boxes as a passive control unit. You can combine any number of MMI to create increasingly complex keyboard-like arrangements, drum pad matrixes or advanced switch systems.

This is a mysterious and mesmerizing module. It's best not to try to fully grasp what makes it tick, but instead to let the strange and somewhat chaotic nature of this beast light your way through places unknown.
4 LEDs cycle a color pattern, but are offset from one another. This generates "random" CV that can then be used to modulate other things. It is a "passive" module, needing only an incoming control voltage to function. There is a knob to crossfade between your input signal and the amount of impact it has on that signal. It also has a second CV input (center) to somewhat freeze the cycling, while say an incoming gate signal is high.
There are all sorts of interesting ways to engage this module. In the demo video I'm using both constant and envelope CV from Maths into the module and running it through several CV inputs one at a time in Plaits and Rings and then at the end, back to Plaits again. If you'd like some more demonstrations, please ask. I have some other videos on hand.

The Pivot is a simple module, dedicated to doing one thing really well: panning and balancing.
The long and smoothly controlled fader makes it easy to strike the right balance between the input and the two outputs, which continuously share each their portion of the input signal. With input buffering and a dual-gang potentiometer, the signal for one channel will fully close at either extreme end and perform with perfect consistency when you need it most.
Use it for panning, wet/dry control, transitioning between different audio or CV destinations - or even just as an attenuator in a pinch. The Pivot isn't the most complicated panner and balance mixer on the market, but rock solid build quality, design and component choices make it a reliable companion in any performance setup.

This machine is wild. Chaotic witchcraft. I've been working on this for about a year and I'm so happy to finally get it out there. Screams and wails, bleeps and bloops, even some living creaturesque type business hiding inside. With multiple LFO action, 2 sets of body contacts, etc. 21 controls in total. There's so much that can happen. Throw some delay, reverb, etc in line and you'll be bordering on that scene from Indiana Jones when they open the Arc.

The Omen is a dual LPG with a bit more than you might be used to. Like you, I once was lost in the world of low pass gates, seeking something more, something bigger and somehow juicier. The inspiration came to me as I was reading a particularly heavy book on passive filters, and I realized it was possible to make far more interesting LPG designs than the standard we've become so accustomed to.
In a convergence of old-school LPG design and more modern components, the Omen boasts two -6dB resonant filters, custom built vactrols, built in CV attenuation and no less than three cutoff modes per filter. Filter 1 is soft and light, imparting a gentle, naturally gated touch of filtering on your sound, while Filter 2 is darker and more resonant, and can turn downright growly and distorted when left wide open.
Designed to give you as many creative options as possible, the Omen has the unique ability to function as either two discrete LPG, or as one 4-pole resonant LPG. When plugging a signal in to Input 1, and with no signal plugged into Input 2, the output will be present at both Output 1 and Output 2, with Output 2 producing the signal as it passes through both filters. Tweaking both filters independently will generate a wide array of soft and sometimes harsh tones, ranging from Buchla bongos to early synthesis brass and organ sounds. There is much to love here.
CV is similarly handled, by plugging in only one CV source, it will act on both channels - this is useful for creating musically similar outputs as well as when using the dual filter operation. However, the dual filter mode greatly benefits from having two CV inputs: use an envelope in CV1 to act as a VCA, and an LFO in CV2 to create tremolo, for instance.
Using custom designed, hand built vactrols, care has been taken to mitigate the less desirable aspects of passive LPGs - in most modules, the user can expect zero bleed through on the LPG channels, and signal attenuation is minimal even with the 4-pole filter settings engaged. Of course, many of the natural features of vactrols remain, such as subtle memory effect when engaging the vactrol for long periods.
DIY enthusiast? Rejoice! The Omen is now available as a fully loaded DIY kit - everything you need to build your very own Omen packed in one place, so you can easily build one in the comfort of your own home. It is not a difficult DIY project, an ambitious beginner or someone with experience from a few easy builds can tackle the Omen in an afternoon. The build is all through-hole aside from three SMD components, which are easily soldered by hand due to their large size.
Finally, you receive maximum blinkenlights as LED's on the front panel simulate the action of the vactrols, so you'll always know what's going on under the hood. No collection of fancy LPG's is complete without the Omen.

“Let's talk about filters - not your usual, souped up, CV controlled stereo-enabled monstrosity, but just regular old filters for EQ'ing and smaller filtering duties. That's this, right here - but in stereo, with a wide range and with a highly useful slide pot.
What's it useful for, you ask? Any task where you'd like to user a filter, but sacrificing an entire filter module might be overkill. For instance, running your sound through a high pass filter before passing it into a reverb, will cut down on the bottom end rumble and allow you to enhance the sparkle of the reverb. And here you get two! Either one for your left and right input, or one for two different but linked mono inputs. Neat!
This filter is fully passive, only 2hp and skiff friendly with a very shallow installation depth. It's also particularly good looking in black and gold.”

Introducing the Cortisol Legend: a spiritual successor to one of my early designs, the Steroid Legend, it presents as 4hp of white hot saturation and hairy distortion, and features manual control over two op-amp driven gain stages, with a diode saturation control in the middle, giving you precise control over distortion ranging from smoldering saturation all the way into utter rail-to-rail fuzzification.
As for the diodes, the Cortisol Legend has two flavors on tap: Steroid Legend-inspired diodes and genuine, Cold War-era USSR-made Germanium diodes from the far reaches of Europe. These diodes are getting increasingly hard to find, but have been known for their warm and fuzzy characteristics by guitar pedal enthusiasts for years. Here, you get the genuine article, for as long as I can reliably source them - one day, there'll simply be no more.
In addition to having control over the saturation depth, the Cortisol Legend offers an additional control parameter: Eustress and Distress. Roll off the edge and noise a bit with a Styroflex-capacitor filter which varies with saturation depth, or leave no edge unjagged with this setting.
Speaking of noise, this thing is LOUD, so you may want to have an attenuator such as the psATT on hand, unless of course the loudness is exactly what you want. Hand in hand with the overdrive and distortion comes, of course, beautiful new harmonics added to anything from single waveforms to samples, sounds and entire mixes.
Various diodes will be available at different times, but all variants are ultimately limited - all Germanium diodes used in these are new old stock from the Cold War, and one day they will run out, and I will no longer be able to procure them. Expect individual modules to have a bit of their own character, as I am confident these diodes were not made to the exacting specifications we have today.

Shush!
